N.P. Lanitis Ltd was founded in 1896 by the two sons of the founder of the Lanitis Group Panayis Sykas from Lania (later known as Panayis Lanitis), Nicolas and Costas P. Lanitis. Over the decades N.P. Lanitis Ltd formed the backbone of the Lanitis Group. Today, it has evolved into a dynamic private equity company.  

The farm was established in 1936 by the Lanitis family. Lanitis Farm Ltd which is situated 10km west of the town of Limassol, was one of the largest private citrus and olive producers on the island, covering 2,900,000 m2 of land.  

Established in 1943, under the name Amathus Navigation, through a number of subsidiary and associate companies, Amathus Ltd has grown over the years into a diversified business organization, covering a wide spectrum of investment sectors like hotels, leisure & entertainment, shipping, transport, and travel & tourism.
